Nearly five hundred people showed up for Windsor Imaging's 2nd Annual Free Health Fair on Saturday, October 30th. But perhaps the most significant part of the day was the thirty-six free Digital Mammograms that Windsor Imaging gave away to women that registered the morning of the event. By 8:30 a.m., there were two dozen women already in line hoping to get their free mammogram. Due to the incredibly high demand of women that showed up at the event, Windsor Imaging gave away an additional twenty-eight certificates for $60 Digital Mammograms.

Debbie Jones, of Ft. Pierce, was one of the recipients of the free mammogram. "I'm so appreciative of the free mammogram. It's nice to know that Windsor Imaging really cares about women enough to do this", she stated. In fact, the original plan called for only twenty-five free mammograms, but their Digital Mammography Tech, Jennifer White, volunteered to stay later to fit a few more in.

Ray Windsor, owner of Windsor Imaging, was pleased at how many women showed up for the free screenings. "We are committed to the fight against breast cancer and have promised this community that we will do everything we can to help the cause. With a combination of free and low priced mammogram screenings, fundraisers for appropriate organizations, and attending other events that promote breast cancer education and prevention, we are doing our part to help as many women as possible," Windsor stated.

The event was held from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at their facility in Fort Pierce. Over two dozen medical providers gave out various free medical screenings including free massages, blood pressure & glucose screenings, spinal checks, free foot screenings and more. All booths were also giving away candy and other items to all the children in attendance. The Breeze 93.7 was on hand with a live remote and popular radio DJ Marianna from 93.7's morning show. Boomer's BBQ was on hand selling BBQ sandwiches and their famous Macaroni and Cheese. The Palm Beach County Sheriff's office brought their pink Sheriff's car to the event, allowing folks to honor cancer survivors by signing the vehicle.

Windsor Imaging also hosted a Garage Sale during the event in order to raise money to pay for future free mammograms. A raffle was held as well to help raise funds for The Pink Tie Friends, an organization dedicated to the assistance of those men and women fighting breast cancer.

Vendors participating include Stuart Urgent Care, Nature's Way, Curves, Butterfields, Nutrition S'Mart, Costa Azul, Humane Society, The Alliance Club, Florida Foot Specialist, Florida Community Health Centers, Mary Kay, Grace Women's Health Care, Dr. David Shaw, D.C., Dr. Aurore Rezk, DMD, the St. Lucie County Fire Department, The St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office and The St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office Explorer Post 400.

The staff at Windsor Imaging volunteers for and contributes to many non-profit and charitable organizations throughout the Treasure Coast, including the American Cancer Society, The Pink Tie Friends, The Susan G. Komen Foundation, Boys and Girls Club, and more.
